SunDynamics is a South African robotics hardware company building the country's first humanoid robot, along with the high-performance actuators that drive it. We design and manufacture every joint from first principles — combining cycloidal gearboxes, PMSM motors, and deterministic real-time control to produce joints that are compact, powerful, and safe.
Our goal is to make capable humanoid robotics accessible: hardware that integrates cleanly into standard open-source software stacks, with no proprietary barriers to experimentation or deployment.

Every actuator ships with full EtherCAT and CANopen support using the CiA 402 profile — no proprietary middleware or vendor lock-in.
